To apply your lace wig securely to your head, you will need to use glue or tape especially made for this purpose.

The tape used to apply a lace wig is a double sided clear sticky tape.  Once you apply the lace wig, the tape should not be detectable.

So which lace wig adhesive is better?  Tape or glue?  The answer to that is the type of lace wig adhesive you use is really a personal preference.  Both work extremely well.

Even though both methods work well.  Many individuals tend to go with the lace wig glue as opposed to the tape because the glue tends to give you a longer hold. Which is great for those who want to keep their wigs secure for a longer period of time.

Lace wig glue is a great choice if you work out regularly or enjoy water activities such as swimming.

There are water based and solvent based adhesives.  Water based adhesives have less chemicals in them and may work better for those who have sensitive skin.  But solvent based adhesives will give you a longer and firmer hold.  It can last up to 6 weeks.

Before you use any lace wig glue, you should test a small amount on another area of your skin to see if it will cause any type of reaction.  Let it sit for at least an hour.

If after that time no reaction has occured you should be good to move forward with the lace front wig application.

Word of caution.  Be sure to only use a glue that is made specifically for applying lace wigs.

You also want to be careful not to put any glue on your natural hair during the application process.  Doing this could cause damage to your natural hair.

Lace wigs are a great hairstyling alternative and can provide you with the styles, colors and flexibility you desire without damaging or over processing your own hair.  Whichever lace wig adhesive you decide to try will give you the outcome you desire.
